Reliefs represent a space of stopped time and peace for me.
I work mostly with plaster, which I like mainly because of its fragility and vulnerability, because life is sometimes similar to that. I find objects which are in my surroundings, as an integral part of my life… I love watching them and observing their way through space. I stop the movement in reliefs and thereby the original utility and time disappear. The object is captured in space – white, reduced, naked – tending to remind a materialized shadow, some essence, a mysterious box lifted from the bottom of the sea, and waiting for next life…
